The weather had warmed, allowing everyone to get out of their houses without heavy winter coats. It was always nice to welcome in the summer weather. The streets became busier, and many shops had displays outside to entice more people inside. Parks were filled with people eager to soak up the sun and stretch their legs.
For Audrey McLoughlin, summer was her favorite time of year. The days were longer, and the warmth meant she could go out and camp without feeling as though she had to bundle up too much. It also meant taking photos of outdoor events was more appealing. Having frozen fingers from operating the camera was never fun.
She was glad she had found photography in school. Of course she could remember her dad taking more than enough photos of her and her siblings as kids, but she had really grown to appreciate how it could tell a story. Working for the Daily Prophet allowed her to continue to expand her abilities, especially given the access she had to events.
But for today, she was just enjoying a nice summer day. Her camera was with her as always, but it was tucked away in the bag hanging sitting next to her. She had perched herself on a bench in Diagon Alley to watch everyone go by. Of course, being summer she had stopped by the local ice cream shop first and was enjoying a nice treat as she watched the world go by.
