Practice had been a tough one for Sebastian, and he had stayed later to go through a few more plays with the other chasers. So by the time he made it into the locker room, the 5th year felt wiped out. It was a good thing it was Friday and there weren’t any classes the following day. Plus maybe he’d actually be able to sleep tonight. It all depended on how well his brain decided to turn its self off. That was the problem most nights. No matter how tired he felt, he always seemed to have his mind racing.
If it was just about classes and his future it would be one thing. He also had the potential disappointment he might face from his parents if he were to not get the captains badge in the next two years or lead the team to the cup. And recently he had really been starting to come to grips with another possible problem. As all his friends were talking about the cute girls in their class, he just nodded and agreed with them, even though really he didn’t seem to have that same attraction. No it was some of the boys. When he had kissed Callie, it hadn’t seemed right, but he figured it was because she was his best friend. But now he was wondering if it was because she just wasn’t a guy.
At least when he was on the field he could push all those thoughts away and focus on the sport. Plus it meant he didn’t have to hear the rumors that apparently had been going around of him being with a Ravenclaw in his year. He had been seen a lot with her in recent weeks. Apparently working on a class project together was what constituted a relationship these days. It was odd.
He was busy throwing his protective gear in his locker to let it air out of practice when he heard someone approaching. He looked towards the entrance to see Lily walk in. He smiled at his housemate. ”That was quite a practice, wasn’t it?” he said as he looked back to his locker to place his arm guard inside.
