The walls of the Ministry held many secrets. Secrets which the ordinary wizarding folk didn’t need to know. This was even more so for the Department of Mysteries. Michael enjoyed keeping secrets, well his own secrets anyway.
It was usual for the Selwyn to wonder the halls and corridors of his workplace. He tended to keep himself to himself, heading only to his floor near the bottom of the Ministry them back up to go home. Recently he had tried the canteens lunch menu, but he decided he would rather go hungry then eat that slop again. On that same day he had discovered empty rooms that sat adjacent to the lunch room. Today, his curiosity had got the better of him and he wanted to explore what else might be lurking throughout the building that he didn’t know about.
The familiar sound of heels echoing throughout the halls met Michael’s ears. He loved the sound it made. It usually gave him a bit of authority in the department, not that he didn’t already frighten a few of the newer Unspeakables.
Glancing around, he found the same corridor he had before. The doors were all closed, like before. One of them took his fancy. Taking a quick look around, he held on to the handle and slowly twisted it.
