The date had been set. Two months from now, the twins would be free from that awful burden that was their father. He had anticipated it to be soon; however it was all becoming quite real now. The whole situation was continuing to make him feel uneasy; he wondered what he had got himself into. Remembering Gretchen’s marks, her previous demeanor focused him again: the twins would never have to deal with him again after the plan had come to fruition.
“Ah yes,” he commented, the event was always busy and could play to their advantage. Halloween was an apt time for such an action, it almost made him laugh how cliché it all was. Gretchen added to Grant’s comment about using costumes and he raised a brow. “It could be anyone if everyone is in disguise that evening,” a grin crept up his face, he felt a sense of pride in his younger cousins and their attention to detail. “You seem to have this all figured out, is there anything else you need me to do before you go ahead with it all?” Michael had items that could be of use to them at his disposal, having friends in high places could be very helpful.
