|It had been a relaxing few weeks away from Hogwarts for the Summer but now the students were due to return. Arielle had mixed feelings about this. There was a part of her that was excited to return to the castle so she could see all her friends again but she also wished that Summer wasn’t over. The young brunette had really enjoyed her Summer this year but all good things come to an end eventually. Arielle was finally a fifth year student, only three more years and she’d be graduating from Hogwarts and pursuing her passion to become a quidditch player. She knew she’d need to work hard in order to get noticed by a quidditch team so as soon as the Gryffindor got off the train, she quickly made her way into the castle, up the ever changing stairs and dumped her suitcase lazily in the Gryffindor common room. No rest for the wicked! |
Arielle was already dressed in some comfortable clothes and grabbed her broomstick before making her way out into the quidditch pitch to get some practice in before it became dark. Most of the students were still hanging around and catching up with friends but Arielle knew she could catch up with hers tomorrow during breakfast. She hadn’t been on her broomstick since before the Summer holidays and she just wanted to get a quick flight in before she headed off to bed. She made her way through the locker room and stepped out onto the quidditch pitch and a feeling of excitement came over her. She had forgotten how big the stadium was. Carefully she mounted her broom and began to hover just off the ground before she kicked slightly and began to soar through the air.
After roughly half an hour of practise she dismounted her broom and headed toward the castle. She had been quite happy to get a little bit of practise in before bed but now her stomach was growling and she needed to get food. Making her way up the castle steps she headed into the dungeon and into the kitchen. First day back and she was already rooting through the kitchen for food. Carefully she propped her broomstick in the corner before she began to rummage for snacks to ease her stomach.
