|Arielle walked with energy that seemed to start in her legs, striding purposefully, and went all the way up through to her hair, which swept behind her in a smooth ponytail. The young brunette moved with ease through the sea of people on Diagon Alley, being careful enough to avoid bumping into any of the other witches or wizards. In a few weeks Arielle would be getting on the train at Kings Cross station to travel back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; her second home. She’d always been quite organised and had come to the decision to collect everything she needed a few weeks in advance, that way she wouldn’t become panicked later on in the month when she still needed to do her shopping for the start of the school year.|
All she needed to get was her books for her fifth year, which happened to be an important year. During your fifth year you’d sit your OWLs, this meant considerably more classes. This did bother Arielle MacMillan slightly, more classes meant less time practicing for quidditch, although she was sure she could manage it. The young girl was persistent and would make sure everything was equally balanced out. There was the possibility she’d have to make some sacrifices but quidditch certainly wouldn’t be one of those sacrifices.
She had spent a few hours in Diagon Alley purchasing the relevant books from the bookstore and had managed to work up quite an appetite. It was known that Arielle happened to have a sweet tooth which she had gotten off her mother, all freshly baked desserts would definitely do that to a young girl. Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour seemed like a great place to go to get her daily sugar cravings.
After entering the parlour Arielle spotted a free table and carefully placed all of her books on the spare chair before she ordered herself a mint chocolate chip sundae, one of her favourites. She sat herself back down on the table and shortly after was presented with her much needed sundae.
