|Even though it was Summer it didn’t mean that Arielle was able to slack off. The youngest MacMillan had really been struggling to keep her grades up, she’d prioritised quidditch over her grades as she wanted to make sure she had been in great shape for try-outs last year. Of course she had managed to get a place on the Gryffindor team as a chaser so her hard work had paid off but obviously this spot wouldn’t last if her grades weren’t average or above. So in order to make sure she kept her spot, herself and her parents decided to need some private tutoring during the summer holidays.|
It wasn’t particularly that bad, she’d have two days a week or tutoring and every Wednesday evening she’d have her Charms tutoring session. She’d never been very good at charms, Arielle was definitely more physical than intelligent. She preferred sports to studying however she knew that her grades were important, and she wasn’t one to stop trying until she reached her goal. So her current goal was to make sure her grade was above average in order to keep her spot on the Gryffindor quidditch team. Eventually she wanted to become a professional quidditch player but she knew these things could change so she needed to make sure she had some decent grades in case that path didn’t work out.
It was nearing evening and Arielle had placed her ink pot quill, parchment paper and charms books on her dining room table. Her family had made themselves scarce so Arielle would be able to concentrate properly and not get distracted. She came out of the kitchen with a jug of iced water and two empty glasses, her parents had always taught her she needed to be prepared with beverages and snacks for guest when they came over. So next to the iced water was a selection of Italian meats and breads to snack on if her Charms professor was peckish.
Arielle sat down and awaited the arrival of Professor Rowland, she wasn’t sure if she would knock on the front door or appear via their fireplace but either was fine. The family were expecting her so they wouldn’t consider her using the fireplace as rude.
