|The weather in England had been surprisingly hot, it was actually like a summer holiday. The sun had been out all week, which meant Arielle’s curfew had become later. Usually she had to be home by the time it was dark so typically in the Winter/Autumn it was 17.30 but as it was summer the sun would usually set at 21.00 so she had a lot longer to go out and enjoy herself. |
Arielle had been in Hogsmeade all day with a few of her friends, they’d been swimming in the Summer sun, bought a handful of sweets from honeydukes and been into Zonkos joke shop. It was nearing the end of the day and the group had slowly began to dwindle in numbers until it was just Arielle left. Even though she still had a couple of hours left she knew there was no point wandering around Hogsmeade on her own. It was obvious her parents wouldn’t be happy with this so she decided to slowly head back to the floo network.
It had definitely been one of the best days of Summer so far for Arielle and she was quite happy it was still warm out. There was still quite a few witches and wizards wandering around Hogsmeade. It would be a shame to waste the Summer sun? There was a possibility it would rain tomorrow, considering how unpredictable the British weather was. Arielle decided it wouldn’t hurt to relax in the Summer sun for half an hour or so, she’d still be home before her Curfew.
There was a spot Arielle knew just outside Hogsmeade which was honestly gorgeous, just next to a quiet lake were she’d often go swimming with her friends. After a brief walk she followed the almost invisible trail toward the river's edge and placed her denim jacket carefully on the floor and spread it out so she could lay down without the grass tickling her back. She was honestly surprised that she was the only person there but it didn’t particularly bother her, she would be able to relax for a while before the sun began to set.
The young Gryffindor watched as the water gently lapped against the embank, it was very tempting to go for a swim. She peered around to make sure no one was watching and took off her shorts and vest top. Luckily enough she still had her bikini on from earlier. She strapped her wand against her calf just in case anything happened and slowly lowered herself into the slightly cold water. It had definitely cooled down since midday but it was still refreshing.
After slowly submerging herself into the slightly cool water she sighed and leaned back, floating on her back. The sky was a clear blue and the sun beamed gently over the water's surface. Summer was definitely one of her favourite seasons.
