You could say Calypso was a changed girl now she had left school. She had little to none of her old shyness like she was a new person entirely. She didn't know if that was a good thing or a big problem, had she lost herself. She knew that going to Hogwarts was out of her parents' rules, but there were still rules at school that she stuck by. However, been here in London with her brother she was a loose cannon. Drinking most nights after work up all night and sleeping most of the day. Her brother left her to her own devices and she had never felt so free.
Today she had a little hangover the smallest one for the whole week and she rose before 12. She sat in her little room looking at the sketches she did the last time she was here. Her head was a little sore as she sat in bed watching the light bounces off of the walls and her pieces of paper and photos. She smiled her brother had always said she had a talent. He smiled as she looked at a few of the band sketches she had made. Today she told herself she would do something positive. Maybe look for a proper job not just one at her brother's bar, even though she loved her brother and it was a job but she didn't want to be a barmaid for the rest of her life.
Pulling herself together she tiptoed to the kitchen in the flat, walking past some girls clothes that were not hers. She cringed knowing what her brother was up to in the room across the way from her. She grabbed some water and stood looking at the bare cupboards. She wasn't much of an eater anyway but she thought it would be best to pull it together and get something in. She put it on her mental to-do list for the day. She went back to her room and round a cute top and jeans on and a big denim jacket on. She slipped her wand and money into her pocket and set off the short walk. Her hair was a bit of a mess she forgot to brush it but the wind playing with it made it unmanageable anyway. The fresh air hitting her when she got to the sidewalk was a good thing. There was a little breeze in the air and it made her glad that she had put on her jacket. She made her way to Diagon Alley. It would be her best place to start looking for a job. Maybe something creative she thought as she walked.
Upon arriving at all the wizarding shops she was surprised, it wasn't as busy as she thought it would have been. Which was a good thing for her head? Just walking through the pub with all the chattering was narrowing at her head. She took it easy as she walked along the street window shopping as she went. She always loved how the cobbled street looked and felt. A sweet aroma from the tea room in the air.
