A Gryffindor, that was maybe the reason he had never met the woman in front of him. At school, his traditional and stereotypical belief that his house was superior would have had him keeping himself to just the house of the snake. His opinion reluctantly changed when one of his siblings ended up a Hufflepuff. “Yes, Hogwarts. A number of years since I graduated as a Slytherin,” Michael replied with a smile. Six years if he was precise. “I don’t believe you were in my year?”
Rose was right to refuse working at the Ministry with her parents. Luckily for him, he was able to avoid his father when hidden down in the Department of Mysteries. It always felt very separate to the rest of the place. “Good idea,” he said with a slight laugh, picking his drink up to sip again. “Make a name for yourself. Also means they aren’t breathing down your neck.” Michael had never planned to work at the Ministry, he got a bit lost when he left school. It just so happened to fall into place, thanks to his father.
Running a hand through his hair, he leaned onto the bar, closer to the woman. “So what does your boyfriend think about you working here? Surely he knows his missus will catch the attention of most of the men who wall through these doors,” there was a glint in his eye as he spoke, Michael presumed she was single. He may have been wrong. He just needed to know if there was someone in his way, not that it would deter his attempts getting her into his bed.
